Since its launch in 2007, Wild Fox Couture has taken the fashion world by storm. Created in Los Angeles by two long-time friends, Emily Faulstich and Kim Gordon, Wild fox have become trailblazers for quirky style. Their designs are based on classic, all-American looks but have a unique spin that the wearer can put their own style upon. The company stands out in a world of drab, predictable clothes designs, and this can quickly make Wildfox a firm favorite with celebrities.
A number of high profile faces have been spotted sporting Wildfox clothing, including Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Khloe Kardashian. Vanessa Hudgens is rarely seen without her Wildox jumper. So, when the company’s founders decided to host a fashion show in New York, it was no surprise that their celebrity fans came out in force. The Great Gatsby inspired bash was attended by Hudgens, along with Victoria Justice and Ashlee Simpson. Vanessa wore a White Label sequin dress and Ashlee donned a Cat Face T-shirt, both from Wildfox’s autumn collection. Victoria wore a teal sequin sweater, available from spring 2013.
Showcasing many of the labels upcoming autumn collections, the show proved that it’s not just formal designs that deserve a place on the New York catwalk. Models wore comfy tops styled with sequins, Americana shorts and T-shirts decorated with trademark Gatsby phrases like, ‘Daisy’ and ‘It was just a dream’. After the show, guests were treated to a performance by New York band Chairlift.
