In the past, when people had problems with their stoves and needed to source stoves spare parts, they headed out to shops in their local towns. However, consumers are increasingly using the web to access these products.
It’s no surprise that more and more individuals are turning to cyberspace to buy items like this. After all, this approach is quicker and more convenient. People don’t always have the time to get in their cars and head out to the high street. Thanks to the web, they don’t have to. All they need are a spare few moments and a web connection.
Also, by checking out what’s available online, consumers can help ensure they benefit from a wide range of wood burner spares and other products. In addition, this approach allows them to make the most of competitive prices, which might be especially important now given the financial pressures facing many households.
Highlighting the rising popularity of ecommerce, a British Retail Consortium survey has revealed that cash payments are declining, and the organisation suggested this is in part due to the rapid growth of online shopping. It noted that in 2012, transactions made on debit cards were up by 3.2 per cent on the previous year, while cash payments were down by 6.7 per cent.
Director general of the organisation Helen Dickinson said: “New ways to pay and new ways to shop are shaping the retail landscape like never before. Changing customer preferences are driving the increase in debit card use – they’re helping people to manage their money better and are a natural fit for online shopping and self-service checkouts.”
