A Balanced Diet Of Fish

Cats are renowned lovers of fish, with many popular online videos featuring hungry felines stalking the fish in a household tank. As a general rule fish is very good for both cats and humans, but this doesn’t mean that every single fish is great for a cat. There are many different types of fish around and as we know, some of them are poisonous. The diet of a cat requires the same care and attention as any person and it is always important to ensure variety and insight. Fish provides proteins and different amino acids which are both great for young and older cats alike, however, some types of fish can reduce the amount of vitamins present in a cat’s body. This can unbalance the pet’s diet and disrupt other feeding with pet food.

Pet food is a often a great source of fish, because it has benefited from technology. The right nutrients can be extracted from different types of fish, then infused into the food to ensure that the kitten or older moggie gets all of the nutrients they need to help them remain strong. This means providing the all important fatty acids called omega 3 and 6. These two are vital in the growth and maintenance of all sorts of different functions within the body and are a highly prized asset. This isn’t to say that extra should be fed, however, in fact that could be detrimental. Again, pet food that balances omega fatty acids is the best way to go.
