Singapore Bags 6 Clean Energy Investments, Creating 400 Professional Jobs

Singapore has always been very serious about improving the infrastructure for all of their citizens, taking advantage of new technological advances, rolling out major public works projects, and bolstering the economy while supporting startups that are serious about improving the lives of Singapore citizens in the lives of global citizens around the world – and this is only further evidenced by the major initiatives and investments in clean energy that Singapore has capitalized on throughout 2017.

According to reports released by the Singapore Economic Development Board, a wave of investment in clean energy initiatives throughout Singapore is poised to create more than 400 individual professional jobs (new jobs, at that), a whole host of “blue-collar” kinds of jobs, and more than $500 million in business annually over the next five years.

We’re talking about a huge spree of major new initiatives that are helped and in large part funded by the Singapore government, all of which are designed to reduce the environmental footprint of Singapore as much as humanly possible while also shackling this city state from the traditional bonds traditional energy sources.

Recognizing clean energy has the future of the industry, and always a nation designed to capitalize on new and innovative technology that stands the chance to transform the future of the world completely, Singapore has not at all been shy about investing significantly in clean energy initiatives.

They just haven’t unveiled this many initiatives all at once before, and the news is sending shockwaves throughout the clean energy world at home as well as abroad.

For more than four years now, the people of Singapore have been well represented by their government and business agents that have met at the Asia Clean Energy Summit. This is an annual meet up Asian nations, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from around the world that are serious about finding the “next big thing” in clean energy to provide power and efficient energy solutions to Asia and the rest of the world without a significant dependency on traditional and fossil fuels.

A German clean energy company (VDE) is investing $20 million as well into clean energy storage solutions, testing laboratories, and certification facilities in Singapore to provide high quality services and more rapid terminal times in Southeast Asia as well.
