On Wednesday, the Department of Health of the United Kingdom has reported that, 1,041 deaths related to the novel corona virus in a single day, which is the highest daily death toll the country has seen since the month of April 2020.
The total number of death toll caused by the novel corona virus is now standing at 77,346 from the beginning of the novel corona virus, and 8th April 2020 was the deadliest day in the United Kingdom since the beginning of the novel corona virus pandemic, along with 1,072 people have died because of the novel corona virus.
The government of the United Kingdom has imposed the third lockdown from Wednesday morning, in an effort for stopping the increasing spread of a much more transmissible mutated corona virus strain, which was identified in the month of December in United Kingdom.
Matt Hancock, who is the health secretary of the United Kingdom said that, the corona virus vaccine rollout was the route back to normal of the country, and till now more than 1.3 million people in the country have been vaccinated since the roll out of the vaccine, which is more than the rest of the countries combined in the continent of Europe.
