Michelle Donelan, who is the universities minister of UK said that, this has been continuing to be an incredibly challenging and difficult time for their students, and she has been hugely grateful to all the staff of the universities, who have been working so hard for prioritising their wellbeing, learning and health during the novel corona virus pandemic.
Michelle Donelan also said that, the additional 50 million pounds, that they are announcing is going to mean that, they have distributed 70 million pounds for the hardship of the students in this financial year alone on top of the government fund of 256 million pounds student premium, that can be used for the supporting the students during the current academic year.
An initial fund of 20 million pounds had been created for the students by the government of UK in the month of December 2020, and the funding has been prioritized by the providers, to the students, who are having more numbers of disadvantages or problems, which has been also including the full-time students and the government has also been aiming for making the funds accessible to the students as fast as possible.
