- UK’s scientists said that, there is high risk of brain blood clots from corona virus as compared to the covid-19 vaccine
- The researchers said that, the risk of CVST had been 8 to 10 time higher than it was from the existing corona virus vaccine
On Thursday, the researchers of the United Kingdom said that, there has been a much higher risk of the brain blood clots from the corona virus infection than there had been from the corona virus vaccines against the disease, and the announcement has been made after the rollout of the inoculations, that had been disrupted by the reports of the rare blood clots.
The companies including AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, both have seen very rare reports of the cerebral venous sinus thrombosis or CVST linked to their covid-19 vaccines, and a study of around 500,000 covid-19 infected patients have found that, the CVST had occurred at a rate of 39 people out of a million people followed by the infection.
That data from the study has been comparing with figure of the European Medicines Agency, that has been showing that 5 people in a million people have reported the CVST after getting covid-19 vaccine shot developed by AstraZeneca, and the researchers also said that, the risk of the CVST had been 8 to 10 times higher, which has been followed by the novel corona than it had been from the existing corona virus vaccines for the disease.
