- The team of the company BAE and UAVTEK has been showcased a nano drone technology at the army warfighting experiment of United Kingdom
- The BAE said that, the lightweight UAV is designed for helping the soldiers for collecting the tactical intelligence information
A nano unmanned aerial vehicle or UAV, which has been jointly developed by the company BAE Systems and the UAVTEK have shown the capability of the drones for operating in the harsh weather conditions at the time of a military technology demonstration event hosted by the army of the United Kingdom.
The company BAE said that, the lightweight UAV has been designed for helping the soldiers for collecting the tactical intelligence information and also for increasing the awareness at a particular situation from the high-resolution camera of the UAV and the antennas, which are having a range of 1.24-mile.
James Gerard, who is the principal technologist at the applied intelligence sector of BAE, said that, the video feed of the event can be possibly shared by the multi-domain, which has been responsible for enabling the commanders on the seal, land and air for increasing the situational awareness of the army and also for informing them about the decisions.
The drone, which is weighing around 0.4 pounds, and which has been fitted with the four rotors that helps in enabling the Nano unmanned aerial vehicle for flying at a speed of 50 miles per hour and it is also a feature of charging the battery, which has been useful for powering the flight of the drone for more than 40 minutes.
