According to Zenith’s latest Advertising Expenditure Forecasts, the UK Ad Market is said to grow by 4.9% in 2020 compared to 3.2% growth in 2019. In order to drive that growth, they would need to spend 6.9% in digital spending. By 2022, the agency expects that 71% of UK adspend will be allocated to digital media. By this allocation, UK will be the first market in the world to exceed 70% in digital ads.
David Mulrenan, Zenith UK’s head of investment has said that UK is expected to show a massive growth from UK advertisement next year.
Zenith expects a low growth globally on ad expenditure, which would be around 4.3%.
The US and China still lead globally in adspend growth, about 56% in ad expenditure, over the next three years.
Globally online video and social media with grow the fastest between 2019 and 2022 by 16.6% and 13.8 % per year respectively
In the third place will be the growth of cinema by 11.5 %. Among the rise of non – commercial video platform such as Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as the growing of use of adblockers, mass audiences has shrunk by – 1.3 % a year.
