Black Friday is a tradition that was started by the Americans and now UK is following the same tradition since 2013. In this period customers spend more money in retail stores all across UK as the retailers offer major discounts, discounts off about 25% both online and off line.
This comes as a welcome news for the shoppers as they get to spend money to purchase products of their choice.
This has also been a very tough and rough year for the retail industry where more than 1,200 stores shut down all across the UK.
Still many retailers across UK have taken part in this tradition and have also extended this discount over long weekends till Monday and shoppers are ready to grab on to discounted deals provided by the stores.
Earlier this trend of shopping had fallen from 2015 to 2018 and only 5% of the people were coming in to shop last year compared with the numbers in 2017.
This trend of shopping has picked up this year and attracted almost 5.2% than the previous months.
Along with the shopping there have also been some protests where more than 300 clothing brands have asked shoppers to not purchase anything for environmental reasons.
